I am having a great time working with our next generation of engineers and business leaders. Relaying my 40+years of leadership and business experience has become a primary focus. Wild Manta is proud to be the primary developer for Avancen in new product development. I am also pleased to be a board member and technologist with Avancen MOD. The Avancen Medication On Demand device is the only bed-side oral pain management dispenser available globally that is suitable for opioids and other controlled medications. This patented technology is also enterprise enabled to allow control, configuration, and reporting using WiFi connectivity even over secure connections. In addition to a bed-side model, Avancen is also developing a patent pending hand-held model for ambulatory applications. The A-MOD will give the same secure access via finger-print reader to provide validated access to medication.Building a medical device is not for the faint at heart and certainly not for someone who is in a hurry. This is a very dedicated and driven set of folks!

The Knowledge Exchange was a family business where we provided the highest quality educational materials along with providing facilities to hold classes, community events and professional training in order to support and grow our local economy. We held over 10,000+ events in our first 5 years and expanded to serve the community in exciting ways. In addition, we custom built a one of a kind user-driven web-based scheduling system that put multi-room, multi-facility facility space reservation at the fingertips of the customer.TKE was built to give back to the community and to grow as our children grew. Three of us started Soneticom (formerly Plexus Systems) as an applied research company in 1998. We worked with VCs, Angel Investors and startup companies to build new and exciting high-tech products and intellectual property in the cellular, telecom, dot-com, communications, precision geolocation, and medical markets. We worked with dozens of startups and developed many new products. We grew steadily and made the Inc. Magazine Fast 500 (#256) in 2003 with 688% in growth over 3 years. At last count, we had created over 200 products/programs, helped with numerous patents and changed a lot of people's and company's visions into a reality. We had great customers and equally great folks that worked with us. In 2009, we decided to join forces with DRS Technologies through an acquisition and joined the DRS family of companies. DRS Technologies acquired Soneticom Inc. on Sept 10, 2009.There are so many things I learned at Soneticom, but if I had to pick the top thing, it is that trust in great people is rewarded with great accomplishments!

At Terion, I worked with a team to architect and build a nationwide tracking, precision geolocation, and messaging system capable of supporting 10,000+ vehicles. The network was built and rolled out for commercial services which included designing and writing software for transmitters, receivers, and a complete Network Operations Center.The lesson learned from this startup is a well-crafted resume is no substitute for great passion!

Worked as an Engineer and System Engineer within Harris Air Traffic Control Systems Division developing next generation voice switch systems for the FAA. Also worked on high-speed signal acquisition systems and an automated flight path landing system. There are so many great things about working with a company like Harris that offset the large corporate culture. Harris has world-class engineering and business development. I was fortunate to have done a tour at Harris Corporation.The lesson learned from Harris is how to work with others to build great things! They are in the top tier in this.

This was my very first "real job". Worked in sporting goods and garden shop in the summer and toys in the winter. Grew from sales associate to an assistant manager responsible for buying and selling. All while going to high school and college. My garden department was #1 in the chain! I met so many fun folks that really enjoyed people.This job taught me that everyone is important and you can't judge someone from how they look or how they talk or even how they act if are really committed to serving others. While only a teenager, the lessons learned here stick with me to this day.
