Founded in 1972, AHHC-NC is one of the oldest & largest state associations -w/combined private pay, home care, home health, and hospice & palliative care as well as a serious illness focus in the US. PACE owned & Managed Care/ACO interests are also active in AHHC.AHHC grew its Hospice membership -even with legacy hospice only association in the Carolinas-and became the largest & most comprehensive state hospice & palliative care assoc. in the Carolinas in 2006 and proudly maintained this success ever since. AHHC has 98 % of Hospices members in NC-one of the largest Hospice footprints in the US. And, AHHC has continued a upward, trajectory growth pattern in Home Health & Home Care. AHHC has a HomeHealth market share at 98%. In 2004, AHHC partnered with & acquired management of the South Carolina Home Care & Hospice Association (SCHCHA) & in 2012 acquired the South Carolina Association of Personal Care Providers. SCHCHA is largest & most active Hospice Association representing SC Hospices. SCHCHA is now partnering with many allied healthcare orgs & is active politically with a strong PAC & legislative presence in Columbia.
