• Continue duties of Video Production Manager• Develop and oversee metrics driven video strategies for viewer retention and engagement.• Own the processes, protocol, and operations for the video production department• Create and maintain production schedules and optimize workflows to manage complex video projects• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all production equipment and post-production infrastructure, including cameras, lights, microphones, teleprompter, shared storage network, digital asset management and automation tool, and LTO Tape archive• Managing production elements on set including lighting, camera, and sound• Produce and direct live events and internal meetings for broadcast• Set up new vendors and resources for equipment rentals, hiring talent, and outsourcing video work• Stay up to date on industry trends and equipment to maintain quality and efficiency of the internal studio and video team• Translate abstract concepts into effective visual form by working with clients to develop scripts• Supervise all location and studio based video production• Supervise all elements of post-production from ingest to distribution

In addition to day-to-day editing and motion graphics, my job includes:• Video concept development and planning with internal clients• Managing production schedules and maximizing budget efficiency for all shoots• Perform or direct all on set lighting, camera operation, and other production activity • Setting up new vendors and resources for equipment rentals, hiring talent, and outsourcing video work• Maintaining a pool of freelancers for staffing larger productions• Keeping up to date on industry trends and equipment to maintain quality and efficiency of the internal studio and video team• Procuring and/or repairing video production equipment to keep up with production scope and schedule• Lead in the design of the studio at Polycom's new HQ• Determining the most efficient post-production workflow for multiple editors• Organizing and managing video storage server for works-in-progress and archiving• Researching and developing new techniques for utilizing motion graphics and visual effects in videos
