NEWater Infrastructure Plan (NIP) project for Public Utilities Board (PUB) - Singapore The NIP project is a SGD$500 million (USD$330 million) installation of an 85 kilometer steel NEWater (high quality reclaimed water) pipeline installed by open cut and pipe jack methods for diameters ranging from 2.2m to 0.9m and composed of 17 separate construction contracts. Design Engineer (all contracts)Managed and addressed design issues.Revised and finalized alignments as per comments from government agencies.Conducted hydraulic modeling and network analysis using EPANET2™ software. Performed structural design for all diameters, per U.S. and Australian codes. Planned all connections (hydraulic and fittings) per client and pressure zone requirements. Assistant Resident Engineer (Contract C-LD)Managed the SGD$9 million (USD$6 million) design/build contract for the construction of a lime and carbon dioxide dosing plant for the pipeline.Assistant Resident Engineer (Contract C-04)Managed the construction of a SGD$42 million (USD$28 million) contract with approximately 9,000 meters of 2.2 meter diameter pipeline (7,800 meters by open cut and 1,200 meters by pipe jack method).

Worked as the civil/structural engineer supporting 9 military installations throughout the Al Anbar Province.- Designed wood, reinforced concrete and steel structures. - Utilized LRFD and ASD codes for wooden structures. - Used ACI codes for the final design for concrete footings, pads, one-way and two-way slabs. Analyzed existing steel structures for structural capacity, expansion and rehabilitation. Conducted land surveying and equipment operation. Created site layouts for a wide range of base operations (dining facilities, life support areas, water purification, waste water treatment, recreation areas, laundries, trash collection points, fuel points) incorporating traditional requirements (fire protection, plumbing and electrical) as well as additional safety conditions necessitated by the environment (extreme weather conditions, small and medium munitions fire).
