After working as the dedicated Recruiter for the Strategy team, an opportunity opened up for me to make an internal transition from Talent to Via's RFX Team. As an RFX-er, I write, project manage, and drive the strategic development of Via's responses to various public procurement processes in North America (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.). Working with cross-functional teams like Operations, Product, Legal, Finance, Partnerships, and executive leaders, we develop written proposals for government agencies, cities, and transit providers, and craft compelling narratives that clearly distill Via's value as a partner, transit operator, and software provider.

Primarily acting as a recruiter and thought-partner for Via hiring managers around the world, across both business and technical teams.Additional fun projects:- Building a multi-school campus recruiting function across both in-person and virtual mediums.- Sourcing support for roles across Partnerships, Operations, Marketing, and Technical orgs.- Employer branding, including a rotation into the Marketing team, working on social media campaigns and content.- Building the internal knowledge management system for the talent team.- Building a revised Learning and Development curriculum for company-wide talent education.

As NYC Office Coordinator, I assisted with reopening Via's headquarters in a hybrid environment during COVID, implementing safety protocol per CDC recommendations and responding to the evolving needs of in-person work. I also wore a few different hats and learned a ton about different People Ops functions:- Assisted with onboarding for new hires as their dedicated point of contact for session scheduling and IT setup.- Assisted with employee experience initiatives including gifting, event planning, and in-office catering.- Coordinated recruiting and hiring processes across the Marketing team, including scheduling and direct communication with candidates. I also had the opportunity to lead my first hiring process as a recruiter, conducting interviews and evaluation for our QA Analyst role, which led to my first hire at Via.

- Front-desk customer service role in an academic/residential setting, assisting residents with COVID testing policy, package retrieval, and any other needs. Also supported on the administrative side by monitoring email, screening phone calls, and performing data entry.- Designated a University Essential Worker, working in-person through the pandemic and maintaining strict COVID health standards.

- Front-line house management role utilizing customer service, shift leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, performance environment. - Team-leadership duties internally, including crafting training tools, and recruiting for the team.

- Leadership/mentoring role for residents of multiple age groups, predominantly high school. Participated in event planning and oversight for student groups.- Performed front-desk customer service in the residence hall resource center.- Obtained both training and experience in crisis response and documentation, often dealing with sensitive material and information (FERPA included).

- Tutoring kindergarten students in reading/comprehension.- Various clerical/organizational duties in an Academic environment.- Teamed up with a classmate to create and run a weekly after-school theater club for the students.
