In 2015 and then again in 2017 I found myself signed up as a guarantor for my eldest son and then my daughters second and third year student tenancies both of which required that I sign an unlimited personal legal guarantee stating that in the event any of the tenants defaulted on the rent or damage caused to the property I would pay whatever was asked. With a much younger son still at home and no help or assistance available for student guarantors anywhere I set about creating an insurance policy that I could take out if and when my youngest child entered into a student tenancy. The rest, as they say, is history, Guarantor Insure was born out of that experience to provide peace of mind for student tenancy guarantors.
