The way we live has been shaped by rules and markets. I work and live to turn that framework into a powerful tool for improving lives, places, and nature.Director of the green space charity London Parks and Gardens, co-founder of the international National Park City Foundation, and Secretary of the UK Urban Ecology Forum, my experience across careers in sustainability and journalism help inform strategy and policy. I am a member of the global influencer and business group, the Della Leaders Club and represented the UK at the World Urban Forum (WUF10) in Abu Dhabi.Change and innovation are two of life’s constants and I’m one of those who enable and celebrate it. Using a range of communication and digital skills, I champion progress towards a fairer and more resilient future; where people and nature are as important as the economy.Leadership, communications, inclusion, and both ‘change’ and ‘reputation' management are five of the many skills I have honed over my twin careers with companies and organisations such as BSI, TechUK, the BBC, ITN, RSPB and London Wildlife Trust. My freelance work has seen me work with the UK Government (DEFRA), regeneration companies, charities and community groups.
