As a founding member of Lupine Montessori School, I proudly serve as the Head of School and as a member of the Board of Directors and HR committee member.After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a BA in Communications Education, I spent nearly ten years as a high school English, Speech and Drama teacher. My love for Montessori began when my daughter started preschool. Now grown, all three of my children experienced Montessori education from preschool through 8th grade. Inspired by their journey, I currently hold Montessori certificates in both Early Education and Administration from Seton Montessori Institute.My dream of opening a Montessori school become a reality in 2017 with the opening of Lupine Montessori School. I support our mission to serve and nurture children and families through Montessori education through supervision, team building and mentoring, managing operations, hiring, and public relations. Embracing our vision to stimulate a Montessori revolution, I serve the community as a teacher trainer at Seton Montessori Institute and workshop presenter at Association of Illinois Montessori School conferences. Centered on a strong community of people who care about children and the best possible opportunities for them, Lupine continues to grow. As my journey continues, I look forward to promoting Montessori’s vision of peace – learning to understand, understanding to sympathize and sympathizing to create an atmosphere of peace and hope. Academics and compassion go hand in hand. I believe we can make the world more beautiful and we will do that, planting one seed at a time.
