I'm very dedicated to my work in education. I started this journey late in my life, but it is a good one. I was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and grew up with six brothers. I always knew that if I could survive my six brothers, I would do something significant in my life. I served three years in the United States Army where I met my husband of thirty-one years. We have two children together and six grandchildren. We pastor Heaven's Gate Church where I'm dedicating my life to helping people live better lives as is my calling in the education world. Everything I do is about enhancing the lives of others, and I get great joy in doing so.I've been in education for eleven years, and I feel it has made an astounding impact on my life as well as transformed me into the person that I have become in the education world. Working with students who have disabilities and being able to see the student first as human and the disability only as a barrier to overcome, has allowed me to impact student growth and achievement, their parents, and the communities in which I have served. I totally believe in servitude. When one serves, it is a great honor, and It is so much better to serve as opposed to being served.
