I possess extensive experience serving as a non-executive director for the Microtia UK charity. I have been associated with the charitable organisation for the past six years, and I find immense joy and satisfaction in my role. The most gratifying aspect of my role is being a part of an individual's personal journey and providing support to them and their family. I am passionate about making a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of individuals by offering my support, sharing my personal experiences, and guiding them towards appropriate resources from other families or medical professionals. In addition to my primary responsibilities, I manage the company's website, social media presence, and the development of new resources. I also oversee fundraising initiatives, event planning, inventory management, grant applications, order fulfillment, and customer service via phone and email. Microtia UK holds a special place in my heart as my second eldest son was born with left-sided microtia.Recently, I extended my professional services to a colleague who has established a hospitality establishment. I developed a custom WordPress website for her, enabling users to conveniently book rooms directly through the platform. I subsequently established her presence on Booking.com, ensuring seamless integration with our official website. In addition, I established a Facebook page and continue to provide assistance with social media marketing and website management.I have been actively involved in the local primary school as a volunteer vice chair governor since 2020, having initially joined as a parent governor. I keep the children's best interests and their families at the heart of every decision made. It is a thoroughly rewarding role.In addition to my professional responsibilities, I dedicate 30 minutes each week to volunteering as a telephone companion with Age UK. Through this engagement, I have developed a meaningful friendship with Anne, my designated telephone friend, over the past two years.
