The bulk of my career has been Administrative and Human Resources which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I started years ago working part-time as a Secretary for a church, there I learned Word Perfect, which no one uses anymore, most people won't even know what that is. Then I signed up with a temporary employment agency and was placed as a receptionist at a law firm. Wiley, Rein, and Fielding, at least that's what they were called back then, now it's Wiley, Rein LLP; a K-Street law firm in the heart of Washington, DC, I didn't know at the time that K-Street was a coveted location I didn't understand the prestige of it, I just wanted to work, but those were some of the best years, and I am so glad that I experienced working for a world class corporate law firm. Temporary employment agencies have been my lifeline over the years and they have allowed me to work in some of the most renowned companies such as Lockheed Martin, IBM, General Dynamics; Accenture, CACI International and Booz, Allen Hamilton to name a few. I say this to say that I know there are a lot of temporary agency recruiters on LinkedIn and I want you to know that you are most appreciated, you open doors for so many people and you never know how difficult it may have been for someone looking for employment, then to get that call at the right time means everything! It has for me many times! And it was a temporary agency that brought me to Haverty's!
