Initially I came on board as a marketing manager for our online research products. I managed the Federal Tax Guidance portfolio. As my subject matter expertise developed for how our products were used in the smaller firms, I moved to the segment management team and focused on the small firm market across all products.Shortly after I moved back to the product management role to be more involved in the development of our product line targeted at small firms and solo practitioners. Later I was given the opportunity to help bring our entirely new research platform to market.It was a big change for our customers and difficult for them to adapt, so post launch I turned my focus entirely on customer care. It was challenging work to help sales retain customers and it led me to initiate the very first customer advisory board. To learn as much as possible we even added non-customers to the board.Our hard work paid off because our team went on to develop a mobile app for the platform that won the first SIIA Software CODiE Award for Best Enterprise Mobile Application.Most recently I got promoted Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing and I collaborate with sales, marketing communications, development and customer service to ensure we are delivering top quality products to our customers. What I enjoy most is getting my peers and other teams excited about new products. When a sales executive tells me about a new customer they acquired because they were able to confidently demonstrate the product’s value, I know I’ve done my job well.
