I'm Teresita and I would like to share why am I a guide, when I was a child the activities that I enjoyed the most were visiting new places, meeting new people, and camping out in nature.I have always dreamed of having a work that allows me to travel, meet new people from all around the world and share my culture and own experiences with them. I now believe that I have found the work that I dreamed of being a tourist guide, and I feel very lucky to have the chance to work in what I love the most. It is a big pleasure for me to share the roots of my culture with people from all around the world.I believe that nowadays is very important to create consciousness about how important it is to preserve the different ecosystems. I have been working in tourism for almost 10 years inside my country and outside in places like Spain, Italy, Guatemala, Belize, and Cuba.Since 2018 I began doing multiday tours around the Yucatan Peninsula, Chiapas, Belize, Guatemala, and Cuba.While planning a guided visit I enjoy offering different tours designed and adapted for all tastes and customizing their experience to their preferences so all travelers are taken into account and can enjoy the adventure. One thing I always try to be conscious of is the differences and special needs that some people may have, and I do my best to ensure their inclusion. For example, special conditions of mobility such as wheelchairs, special food diet, or special transportation requests.I love allowing travelers to have authentic and local experiences that may allow them to enjoy with all their senses and connect with the real essence of the local culture, nature, and history of México.The experiences that my tours provide include different and unique spots that can be enjoyed by every person despite their needs and preferences. I have experience guiding tours in different settings; archeological sites, museums, snorkeling in the Mesoamerican Coral Reef, Cenotes, or underground rivers. I can also guide bird watching, exploring Mayan villages, and natural reserves, hiking in the jungle, looking for animals like monkeys or just admiring the local flora, full immersion in Mayan communities, spiritual ceremonies with local leaders, and exploring caves, cooking classes, canoeing, and photography. The experiences can be enriched by sharing the history of important sites such as the South East Colonial Cities and by learning the community work done at local schools or plantations.
