I have been working in the sales industry for 5 years and have had experience selling products that range from a pair of 3 inch heels for women to $50,000 vacations that people dream about traveling on, with their families. There has been ups and downs in the sales industry especially through the high end retail business of fashion to the brick and mortar retail business of travel. But though it all, I have shown consistent growth in my sales and have taken new steps towards advancing in career in the sales and travel background. I started my career in travel as a vacation expert at the Liberty Travel Scranton office in Pennsylvania. After a year, I was promoted to the assistant team leader position in this store where I have helped grow sales and assisted the team achieve sales goals, assist in team building, developing/coaching our novices, attended multiple meeting on how to make our business better, and focused on our stores finances where we received some of the best audit scores the store has had. After a full two years in the Scranton branch, a position opened up in the Liberty Travel Easton branch which would be a lot closer to my home, but it was only a position as a vacation expert. It was a hard decision to make but I did so not with the intention of not looking to forward my career, but to look at it as an opportunity to see if I could assist another store improve with the knowledge I now had from Scranton. After being in the Easton store for about 3 months, my sales have increased and I finished off our fiscal year with a personal improvement over the previous year of $13,000. After June, my sales have remained steady and growing. We just got audited in August and the store received the highest score yet. I'm looking forward to the future as a vacation expert in Easton and I'm always keeping an eye out for further growth opportunities in our company and beyond.
