I was responsible for the design, management and troubleshooting of the Azure Firewall, including policies to control the traffic flow in the cloud and back to the on-premises locations. The commonwealth did not have the bandwidth or internet capacity to service the number of requests. I was able to seamlessly direct all that traffic to our Azure platform and avert a crisis.•Managed multimillion-dollar, prominent, high visibility projects related to servers, desktops, printers, and laptop hardware and software upgrades. •Successfully architected and implemented a Hyper-V infrastructure to over one hundred remote offices around the state of PA. Utilized Hyper-V’s emerging features to provide remote offices with high availability using multiple servers that removed the organizations reliance on single point of hardware failures. This allowed county assistance workers to be able to provide a much higher level of service for their citizens in need of assistance.•Architected and implemented a new Citrix NetScaler infrastructure into the production environment to replace the aging proxy solution, ISA 2006•Partnered with major IT vendors to include but not limited to Microsoft, RedHat, IBM, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Lexmark, Citrix/NetScaler, Cisco, NetApp, and Xerox, to successfully complete various projects on time and under budget.•Architect lead for all large projects such as replacing over 12,500 desktops with Windows 7 (x64) using a single image that excels on both Dell and HP desktops using an automated process that scripted joining the domain and performs post load tasks.•Provided third tier support for all AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, KMS and all domain related issues.
