Undertook a 12 month Industrial Placement at Lloyds Banking Group as a Credit Risk Analyst. Throughout the year, I developed technical skills in SAS coding and Excel that enabled me to distil large amounts of quantitative data in to meaningful analysis. During the year, I was heavily involved with the insight and reporting side of the team and I prepared for and chaired a monthly risk appetite meeting on the performance of our risk metrics. During my last month, I supported on the latest quarterly consumer credit update for the group’s Executive Committee. Throughout the year, I placed myself out of my comfort zone and joined the Unsecured Careers Working Group, in which I set up team building activities for my office and presented rotation and mentoring opportunities to colleagues across the division. I also chose to join its Work Skills Group, where I gave talks to local college students about opportunities at the Bank and I was a lead member in its Charity Challenge, where I helped to co-ordinate fundraising events for Mental Health UK.
