My goal is to establish strong relationships between engineering education programs and industry. Through promotion of the Masters in Electric Power Systems Engineering program at NC State University, I connect students with opportunities and companies with skilled employees. The MS-EPSE program is designed to educate the new power engineering workforce. Through internships, Capstone projects and industry collaboration, our students are truly prepared to meet the changes and challenges facing the power industry. This unique program is available in a traditional classroom setting as well as through online distance learning, which makes it available to industry professionals looking to enhance their skill sets. In addition to these responsibilities, I plan, manage and execute marketing and lead generation activities for the FREEDM Systems Center at NC State University (https://www.freedm.ncsu.edu/). This includes writing and publishing newsletters, developing content for social media and the web, planning, recruiting, and execution of short courses and an annual research symposium, and trade show coordination and participation. I also recently began managing three new educational research and STEM activity programs for the Center, including a year-long research program, summer research program and STEM program for middle and high school students.
