My legal practice focuses predominantly in commercial litigation, environmental law, bankruptcy, and intellectual property litigation. I have experience managing litigation, including trial and trial preparation, alternative dispute resolution, case management, and local counsel supervision. I represent clients in contract disputes, corporate litigation, and various commercial disputes; I counsel clients in areas including Brownfields transactions, compliance, enforcement, administrative issues, and litigation; I assist clients with bankruptcy matters and litigation; and I advise clients in patent infringement litigation and trademark disputes. In October 2011, I earned my certification from the Superior Court as a Mediator. Much of my practice involves the resolution of highly technical or complex legal issues, where my engineering background is particularly beneficial.I am past Chair of both the Litigation Section and Environmental Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, and former officer of the Intellectual Property Section, have authored materials and lectured on various topics in environmental law, serve on Delaware's Brownfields Advisory Committee, and environmental committees of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and Delaware's Committee of 100.I have served as the attorney adviser to Brandywine High School’s Mock Trial team for many years, and have coached youth soccer for the Concord Soccer Association.I earned degrees in Chemical Engineering and Psychology from the University of Delaware, and my J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden. Before attending law school, I worked as an environmental enforcement officer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Philadelphia.
