Responsible for the development, optimization, scale-up and validation of antibody, virus and recombinant protein production in a USDA regulated environment. • Production and optimization of mammalian and insect cell lines in T-flasks, roller bottles, manual and automated hollow fiber bioreactors, CELLines and Wave bioreactors (Batch, Fed-batch, Perfusion)• Bacterial fermentation process development and manufacturing of recombinant proteins. • Preparation of technical reports, SOPs, manufacturing documents and data presentations for multidisciplinary teams in an ISO 9001 environment• Technical transfer and validation of new product components for in-house and contract manufacturing• Transfection and expression of recombinant proteins in baculovirus systems • Monoclonal antibody development: subcloning, banking and optimization of antibody production

Ethanol production from Arundo donax using various pretreatments (CO2 explosion and dilute acid hydrolysis). Learned aseptic handling and growth of microbial cultures as well as the use of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Participated in the South Carolina Life Undergraduate Research Program.
