Facilitate leadership and human resources training for City employees. Administered training budget of more than $300,000. Recruited top-notch trainers and consultants and renegotiated existing contracts, generating significant cost savings while building a network of highly qualified consultants. Converted City training program from consultant-based to employee-based in approximately one year. Produced, conducted interviews and edited "Citycast," an online telecast that minimized silos by introducing leaders and engaging employees to learn about roles and operations of different departments and division heads. Produced and led marketing effort for "City-to-Customer" conferences attended by 1200 employees and resulting in marked improvement in interdepartmental morale, employee engagement, and desired customer service behaviors.Organizational development efforts help win recognition for the City with Sacramento Workplace Excellence Leader (SWEL) Award (2004 and 2008).

Managed marketing, projects and special events for City's Organizational Development Division. Created marketing plans, developed publications and constructed graphic images. Designed instructional aides including workbooks, pamphlets, video tapes and slides. Helped establish and served as Editor/Photographer for award-winning "City U Tool Box," a monthly employee outreach publication to promote personal and professional development that successfully promoted voluntary personal and professional development and helped double training participation rates. Managed all aspects of complex events including establishing timelines, hiring speakers and contracting food and facilities. Negotiated major discount with the in-house audio-visual provider at the Sacramento Convention Center for all City events. Facilitated quarterly new employee orientation with the City Manager and other City executives, initiating strong bonds and organizational alignment between new employees and management. Developed internship program with local colleges, and supervised interns in web design and event management and administration.
