Developed a values-based leadership training program in 2020 that defined organizational priorities and aligned the team around the common goals using a balanced scorecard /approach focused on our four key stakeholders: the patients, clients, staff, and organization. Managed shift in operational focus to additional emergency services due to increased demands during COVID19 pandemic. Increased revenue by 53.3% from 2014 to 2020. Initiated strategic changes, which differentiated Hawthorne in the market, resulting in 14 consecutive quarters of substantial revenue growth. Improved Net profit margin from 2% in 2014, to 20.2% in 2020. Led the transition to electronic medical records and implementation of new IT and phones systems. Closed three laggard satellite locations in 2016. Key accomplishments from this role include having expedited organizational transformation and established the Human Resources department through the collaboration with Beatty Leadership to create quarterly performance management program based on organizational success factors. Established a performance management system, including quarterly review, skill-based compensation, and a revenue sharing program. Created an internship program for veterinarians and technicians that mitigated the largest threat of industrywide staffing shortages. Formed Hawthorne’s Angel Fund (501c3) to end economic euthanasia in the community, which also provides cradle-to-grave veterinary care for canine police officers and supports the Treehouse Wildlife Center’s animal rehabilitation efforts.

Responsible for managing operations of an 812,000 square-foot continuous-operation distribution center, including 10 supervisors, 120 employees and $110M+ customer product inventory. Accountable for a 99.3% inventory bay audit accuracy for 1,500 SKUs, approximately 60,000 pallets in 10,000 locations. Recruited, hired, trained, developed, and coached employees. Analyzed data to improve safety, order accuracy and fill-rate, on-time delivery, and driver dwell time. Answerable for establishing and maintaining the facility’s budget and profitability goals.Key accomplishments from this role include having directed a Wal-Mart RFID pilot program from inception through its conclusion. Teamed with an Industrial Engineer to launch a Labor Management tracking software, including development of performance standards for each position. Engaged with IT to develop and implement changes to the warehouse management system that allowed for a paperless order fulfillment process.
