I represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”), the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Labor. My work focuses on a wide range of immigration-related matters, including adjustment of status, asylum, custody redetermination, employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, naturalization, and removal defense.

As a Certified Legal Intern by the Supreme Court of Ohio, I provided legal representation to non-citizens before various governmental agencies including the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Examples of my work included representing clients in applications for asylum, naturalization, permanent residency, and religious worker visas. I also advocated for relief from removal or deportation, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture.

Within the in-house legal department, my main responsibilities included conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and litigation documents, and reviewing and drafting contracts. I frequently attended attorney meetings, client consultations, and court hearings. My legal research and writing focused on several different areas of the law, including business, contract, compliance, consumer practice, corporate governance, debt collection, employment, environmental, finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and sales.

Within the Migration and Refugee Services Office, I primarily assisted my supervising immigration attorney in her representation of clients seeking asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture. My regular tasks included interviewing and consulting with clients, researching immigration caselaw, drafting memoranda and briefs, completing USCIS forms, and translating.

Within the Assessor's Office, my main responsibilities included updating private real property information, researching current real property conditions, maintaining files, creating employee time reports, and performing general office tasks to assist city assessors.

As part of Futura's before-school program, I taught two weekly elementary Spanish language classes.

My main responsibilities included overseeing the safe transportation of university-affiliated personnel in university vans, ensuring the proper execution of department policies by van drivers, operating radio transmission systems between drivers and student supervisors, attending weekly supervisor meetings, conducting daily statistical reports of van usage, and assisting the Marquette University Police Department in campus surveillance.

My main responsibilities included assisting mechanical engineers in the design and production of air bags, seatbelts, buckles, and other car accessories; delivering parts to local Ford plants; attending weekly meetings; conducting presentations; and assisting in general office duties.
