Consortium on Financing Higher Education

• Collect, analyze, interpret and report on data of undergraduate students, learning assessment and educational cost information
• Produce descriptive and inferential analyses, synthesize findings in numeric, graphical and written forms for university presidents, provosts, deans of student life, and institutional research directors

• Coordinate the program’s events to successfully serve 40,000+ students in Los Angeles County
• Manage and train 28 Bruin Ambassadors in public speaking, preparation of events, and professional skills
• Serve as a UCLA liaison at 80+ opportunities including presentations, college fairs, college tours, and admission workshops
• Visit high schools in the Los Angeles area to present my UCLA experience, as well as information about the admission process to the University of California
• Participate on student panels, conducted special request tours for groups and individuals, and assisted Undergraduate Admission through receptions, workshops, and conferences

• Coordinated and reviewed actions and proposals from Senate committees and administration to make recommendations to the UCLA Academic Senate
• Acted on all matters, except legislation, in the name of the Los Angeles Division at times when the Legislative Assembly cannot readily be convened or when haste is required
• Consulted and advised the Divisional Chair on all matters, including issues brought to attention from outside the Senate’s or administration’s formal structures

• Served as the solely elected academic representative of 29,000+ undergraduates to faculty and administrators
• Responsible for interviewing and recommending the Dean of Students and other positions within the Student Affairs department
• Oversaw an Academic Affairs office budget of $45,000 and 40 undergraduate students to champion retention, accessibility, and outreach events
• Represented undergraduates on the UCLA Steering Committee for Online Teaching and Learning with the Executive Vice Chancellor, Dean and Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education, and various Vice Provosts
• Advocated for increased student involvement with UCLA Registrar and UCLA College Academic Counseling
• Lobbied on a state and local level for increased budget allocations for UCLA and the UC system
