My wife, Lorie, and I have combined our experience and skills to focus on helping others develop "side project" businesses that are based on creativity and "other centered" relationship focus. We work with those who have business backgrounds and have seem to be “stuck” in progressing their home-based business. We also work with those who have never ventured into the business world - always having worked for someone else. We have lots of fun doing creative brainstorming, mentoring, role-playing and walking through the difficulties that being an entrepreneur brings. Lorie and I both have developed professions/businesses as entrepreneurs for over 30 years. We recognize that business practices can change rapidly and the need to be creative learners is paramount. We also know that timeless and foundational “other-centered” people skills are always needed in developing a successful home business. One of our specialties is working with HEALTH PRACTITIONERS (Physical Trainers, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, etc). We have a simplified and streamlined program that we help integrate into the practitioners practice that generates residual income. We offer our services to run the program as the "product partner" and "admin arm" of the side-project business for the busy health practitioner. This is an effective model to complement the health service that the practitioner offers his/her patients.RESULTS:Though working full time in our professions, Lorie and I started a “side project” business in 1995 with the dream of replacing our incomes and creating time freedom in our lives. We generated over 1 million dollars of commissions in our first five years (2000). For years after, our “side project” business became our full time income while our professions became our part time ventures! Things flipped around. We continued to practice in our professions until I retired in 2013, not committing my time to help others duplicate what we accomplished.

Founded Pearl Counseling Associates (PCA), a team of professional counselors in Tacoma, WA. Directed and developed the counseling ministry of this highly skilled counseling team in Puget Sound area of Washington State for 23 years. Pearl Counseling Associates was part of the professional development to over 60 counselors through the years of my involvement. My personal counseling specialties included marriage, individual and adolescent counseling. I worked with anxiety, depression, dissociative disorders, men's issues, woman's issues, loss issues, abuse survival issues, PTSD, military families, pastoral families and many other issues that are too numerous to mention in 23 years. The foundation of my work was to help people grow through loss and change and learn how to move into life with a sense of "wholeness" to impact others.I was also closely involved in the supervision and development of individual counselors as well as consultant to other counseling teams in the area. I retired from the counseling profession in January 2013 and helped Pearl Counseling Associates develop into an LLC under the leadership of two very capable individuals on the PCA team.

Developed and directed discipleship ministries on Air Force Bases in TX and OK as well as local communities. Between 1990 and 1995, served as part of the counseling team for the Navigator organization. I provided professional counseling for the needs of other Navigator Staff Representatives in area and for those Navigator missionaries returning from overseas missions.

I served on the newly formed counseling team at Dallas Theological Seminary. Our focus was to provide professional counseling to the students (and their families) and faculty of the Seminary.

Instructor pilot at Undergraduate Pilot Training in bases in Texas. I also served as a classroom instructor for Air Force Pilots while also providing personal instruction in the cockpit. I had the privilege of being part of the team who was responsible for teaching the first group of female pilots for the Air Force.
