As a senior strategist, I collaborated with our clients and with Gensler architects and designers to frame opportunities, conceive processes and create communication I helped organizations in manufacturing, education, healthcare and retail leverage and activate design as a tool for leadership, performance and innovation. As a studio leader, I led a hybrid studio composed of writers, designers, researchers, analysts and industrial designers, expanding Gensler's reputation and capabilities beyond architecture and interior design.

Facilitated community leadership academy learning experience. Helped to shape curriculum for a pioneering Regional community leadership program dedicated to creating a powerful regional identity in the West Michigan area.

Working with VSA Partners and Doblin, I was brought in to lead focused Innovation and Branding project teams for clients including Bell Canada, SK Telecom, Target, and Caterpillar.

Co-founded and helped to grow Conifer Research into a respected source for applied ethnographic research. Helped Conifer clients use research insight to drive organizational alignment and concept development. Developed collaborative, multi-project client relationships. Shared business management responsibiliities for firm.

Led brand strategy efforts for VSA clients and helped develop brand process for the firm as a whole. Created Brand Summits, an interactive, participative forum that engaged business leaders, creative partners, customers, and key advisers in brand strategy.

Integrated Doblin efforts on behalf of clients, beginning as a writer in 1991 and evolving into a program manager and firm leader over the ensuing 9 years. Helped Doblin clients develop innovation options across products, services, and brand. Developed and wrote recommendations. Led consulting teams. Developed processes, tools, and experiences to help clients generate, track, and test innovation concepts.
