My primary duties are to assist new franchisee's as they learn and grow their business as an owner of their own AlphaGraphics. My role is to help them learn the systems and procedures, then maximize their potential revenue streams to get to profitability as quickly as possible. At any given time I may be working with between ten and twenty owners in various stages of startup. Travel is part of the process, but conference calls, training webinars, and the like are part of the communication package. I also train and support all owners as they use the primary system of PrintSmith in their centers. This includes analysis of costing and pricing trends and implementing training to enhance revenue and profitability.

My wife and I opened an AlphaGraphics marketing, design and printing franchise in Franklin, Tennessee. Successfully operated for over three years then sold the business when I decided to pursue other interests. From startup, we grew the business from $0 to a successful operation with 30 to 50% growth each year. My AlphaGraphics was one of the highest revenue startup centers. We offered a variety of design and print-related services and tried to make business communications a lot easier for people in our area!Since the sale, the team stayed in place and grew...both in employees and sales. Last year they were ranked 13th out of over 240 franchises nationwide. A great growth curve indeed! Plus, they moved to a new location with double the working space.

My division of American Greetings was responsible for all their fundraising items. My group designed wrap, bags, stationery, and other gift related products for the industry. American Greetings purchased CPS Corporation in 2001. During my tenure I worked on the installation and initial operations on a pre-press department for newly acquired large-format web press. Additional duties relating to pressroom operations and supervision of screen print, flexographic, and gravure presses.

I was responsible for the look of all packaging, sales materials, showrooms, and product photography, as well as press supervision of all printed materials, including; wrap, bags, cards, etc.

My team created the 'look' of all Hallmark channels of distribution. Specifically, we designed implemented all the graphic elements; signing, posters, decor, and related items.
