Effective and engaging learning design goes beyond checking the box, watching the video, reading the text, and counting the points. I seek to measurably improve the effectiveness of online courses by addressing a wide range of teaching and learning variables that may impact learner motivation, retention, and comprehension. Grounded on key adult learning principles, my course design approach encourages learner curiosity, exploration, application, and reflection on course concepts. I don't create cookie-cutter, formulaic, or one-size-fits-all courses, but courses with a high-touch, human-first approach that mindfully integrates media and technology second.
