A major driver for change and innovation, the vision of the Institute for Health Care Delivery Research is to improve quality and reduce the cost of health care services by providing technical support and education for clinical research and process management within the Intermountain Healthcare system.In December 2013, I completed the Advanced Training Program at the Institute for HealthCare Delivery Research. As a Research Fellow, I focused on the architecture and design of applications and tools for estimating waste in frontline health care worker activities. The Toyota Production System (TPS), or lean manufacturing, is a powerful model of efficient design and management of large-scale operations, creating highly responsive systems that consistently produce top quality output at minimum cost. ✔ Designed and implemented mobile application to facilitate TPS Lean Observation in healthcare settings.

Caradigm USA is a subisidiary of GE Healthcare and Microsoft and was formed in 2012. It is is a healthcare analytics and population health company.As Principal Archtect, my role at Caradigm was a continuation of responsibilities at GE Healthcare with an emphasis on the architecture and design of clinical healthcare applications constructed on the Amalga data integration platform and extended to mobile devices. My work with Caradign is more of a continuation of the work I performed in GE Healthcare.

Prolexys is a drug discovery company, using a highly developed process of discovering protein interactions to build a "lexicon" of pathways in a "systematic" way to discover and validate new targets for pharmaceutical intervention.I managed project implementation for Prolexys. I staffed and guided a team of 20 engineers and bioinformaticians in architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining sophisticated software systems to support two proteomics research laboratories.Liaising between and consulting with senior biologists to assess requirements and interacting with robotics and automation specialists to determine interface details, I instituted agile scrum-based software development methodology to enhance automated, high-throughput laboratory operations.Additionally, I spoke and presented at user conferences and at the University of Utah in 2003 regarding proteomic analysis and bioinformatics.✔ Created analysis and visualization systems to improve ability to query and image the interaction networks of the two laboratories ✔ Excelled within proteomics application domain through high-level understanding of technology solutions in healthcare and bioinformatics creation of custom laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
