For the past five years, I have been lucky enough to live in Santa Cruz, on California's central coast, and be a part of the Ventana Wilderness Alliance (VWA) staff, first as its Youth in Wilderness Program Manager (then Director), and then as its Field Programs Director. Together along with dedicated volunteers, we worked to protect public access to and the biodiversity of the wilderness areas in the iconic Big Sur mountains and coast. What a dream it has been to work with such dedicated staff and volunteers.I've recently begun an exciting new life adventure and now reside in Santiago de Chile. I have acquired a 170 Hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate, with an additional 30 hour specialty certificate in teaching Business English. I currently offer various English services particularly English language classes to learners interested in growing their English skills.I hope to leverage my diverse background in continued contribution to work that intentionally incorporates the principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. While I begin this new journey of offering professional language services throughout my time in Chile, I remain committed to environmental conservation and youth outdoor education work.
