Over the summer, I had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor for pre-K to middle school aged students for a period of 5 weeks over the course of 2 months. I assisted in teaching a science, design, and cooking class, while working with a team of counselors employed by Seoul Foreign School. As a team, we were in charge of 100 kids per session, not only watching them, but also forming close bonds with many of the kids.

I worked as an intern at the headquarters of an N.G.O called Vision Care, which aims to provide free ophthalmological services to people in developing nations. As an intern, I provided general office support as well as acting as a rough translator for the Korean staff. In April, I was sent to work for a month in Ethiopia doing field work as a medical volunteer. I assisted the licensed staff in giving out prescription glasses and sterilizing surgical equipment as well assisting in managerial duties while abroad.
