Vattenfall January 2016 – Present DayI am currently working on Kentish Flats/ Thanet Offshore Windfarm as a service Technician. My day to day duties are very similar to that of my previous two roles with Dawson Energy and Siemens but with a lot more emphasis on trouble shooting, fault finding and component exchange on The Vestas V90 Mk4 and Mk9 Turbines. I am currently deployed on Kentish Flats most of the time undertaking a multitude of tasks including:- Annual Servicing, Gear and Hydraulic oil exchanges, Bearing exchanges, Pitch Ram Exchanges and Fault finding and diagnosis / parts exchange on Hydraulic systems / Electrical contactors / CAN systems / VCS systems / and a multitude of different motors relays and sensors. I am currently gaining knowledge and experience in Transformer room inspections to attain SAP status following a number of HV switching schedules and sitting a Panel. As a team we all take part in remote monitoring and troubleshooting via SCADA to diagnose and reset faults on a weekly basis. I have also taken part in a in Gearbox exchange in 2017 on the Deck on the Ziton Wind Jack up barge that I gained a great deal of knowledge from.Level 8 Siemens Authorised team lead on 3.6 MW WTG. Experience ( 500 hr, 12 month and annual ) servicing, retrofit projects, Fault finding, troubleshooting and inspecting the 3.6 MW WTG at Lynn and Inner Dowsing, Greater Gabbard, London Array, Butendiek and Westermost rough (6.0mw 500 hr service). Currently working in Netherlands on GE 2.75 MW WTG on pre install quality assurance and maintenance inspections.
