Dedicated Educator and Athletics Coach with a passion for shaping young minds and fostering athletic excellence. Bringing over 18 years of experience to the table, I have a proven track record of success in teaching US History and coaching various sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track and Field, Soccer).I spent six years in Alvarado ISD, where I had the privilege of teaching US History and coaching Boys Athletics, including football, basketball, track, baseball, and girls soccer. During my tenure, I contributed to the success of the athletic programs, being a part of two semi-finalist teams in State football and the 2011 3A State football game.Currently, I am with Aledo ISD, where I've been a part of eight State Championships since joining in 2012. My journey has allowed me to collaborate with esteemed mentors such as Jim Streety (high school coach), Jeff Dixon (Alvarado), Tim Buchanan (Aledo), Steve Wood (Aledo), and Robby Jones (Aledo), all of whom have played pivotal roles in shaping my coaching career, role as a husband, father, and Christian.In pursuit of continuous growth, I am currently pursuing a Masters in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma University and plan on graduating in July 2024. My future goals include aspiring to become an Athletic Director, Assistant Athletics Director, or contributing to the Athletic Department at a university in the DFW area.As a coach, my ethos revolves around hard work and the holistic development of young men and women. Beyond achieving excellence in sports, I aim to instill core values such as Integrity, Enthusiasm, Character, Humility, and the importance of God and Family. Through the relationships built during our time together, my aspiration is that the athletes I work with carry these values into their personal and post-sports lives.
