As Oceaneering International's UAS Program Manager, I am building and managing an experienced network of UAS operators compliant to Oil and Gas Industry UAS standards (IOGP) to support multiple Oceaneering verticals globally. Duties include strategic vision development, contractor management, vetting UAS operators to technical standards, incident investigation, vendor negotiations, and business development. I am also the Vice Chairman of an industry UAS working group with aviation safety leads from major oil and gas companies developing and maintaining UAS standards and learnings across the industry.

Results oriented professional aviator with deep technical expertise in safety program management, analyzing and managing risk, accident investigation, Search and Rescue and unmanned aviation applications. Currently supports BP Global Aviation Services through development and maintenance of official list of approved aviation providers for use by BP, setting and interpreting standards for managing the risk of aviation across the BP Group, identification of risk exposure and trends, and sharing lessons learned. Interfaces regularly with industry groups, manufacturers, suppliers, BP businesses, audit, assigned advisors, authorities and aviation operators. FEMA trained Mishap Response Team member providing aviation subject matter expertise for global incident response. A retired military officer with leadership experience as a previous HSE Director for Air National Guard (ANG) base of over 1,000 personnel. As the HSE director, was the direct advisor to senior leadership on all aspects of aviation risk, served on the Emergency Operations Leadership Team and conducted exhaustive operational risk assessments for one of the first unmanned aerial system (UAS) operations in national airspace. As a Flight Commander for an ANG reconnaissance squadron, supervised over thirty-six aircrew conducting round the clock combat support operations. Experienced Search and Rescue aircraft commander with numerous rescues and challenging shipboard night deck landings with US Coast Guard at the busiest air-sea rescue unit in the world. In addition, trained by the USAF and University of Southern California as an aviation mishap board president and investigating officer with experience leading a team of experts determining root cause and issuing official USAF reports.
