• Led the completion and opening of the museum’s new award-winning 66,000 sq. ft. home, which opened on February 6, 2010, on-time and under budget.
• Successfully positioned the museum as a key element in the revitalization of downtown Tampa.
• Directed museum through AAM reaccreditation including authoring new strategic plan, code of ethics, bylaws and collections management plan.
• Reduced reliance on City of Tampa funding from 44% of overall revenue to 22%.
• Spearheaded the museum’s successful application for new market tax credits which netted the museum over $800,000 in general operating reserve cash.

Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area

• Highlights:
• Led the museum to be recognized as top arts organization in the state by the South Carolina Arts Commission.
• Supervised 95% increase in auxiliary support, 23% increase in major donor contributions and 16% in government support.
• Founded the Friends of Contemporary Art collecting group.
• Secured funding and administered the selection of the Factor Prize winner, one of the largest cash prizes awarded by an American art museum to a working artist.
• Led expansion project and worked with two internationally recognized architectural firms on preliminary design studies.

• In 2002, the museum ranked 22 (out of 30) for funding from Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC); in 2005, the museum rose to the number 3 slot (out of 30). Funding from TAC doubled during this period

• Supervised a 68% ($65,000 to $109,000) increase in government funding.
• Decreased long-term debt by 85% ($181,000 to $28,000) and payables to lowest level in 10 years.
• Launched two highly successful contemporary art exhibition series—one for emerging artists, one for design.

• Supervised museum’s for-profit revenue generating initiatives, with over $20M in annual revenue.
