CurrentRisk Management• Develops, integrates, and trains a 360-risk function that effectively manages and mitigates risk, establishes proper controls, supports business initiatives, and protects against regulatory risk. Develops and maintains policies and procedures as required by laws and regulations applicable to the organization’s business.• Executes thoughtful, logical, and consistent approaches to enterprise risk and/or concerns to minimize exposure.• Improves project administration and inside-out relationship-building, resulting in client retention, wallet share expansion, and staff satisfaction, growth, and retention. Compliance• Serves as trusted regulatory liaison with regulatory bodies that exercise oversight of the business and develop systematic processes, controls, and measures for auditable implementation. • Liaises with board, executive, operational, sales, and support teams to align top-down and bottom-up goals and objectives. • Establishes systems for auditing, tracking, and reporting compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and provides training on compliance policies and procedures and emerging compliance issues.General Counsel• Manages outside counsel, consultants, and other third parties as needed to manage risk and achieve business objectives. • Effectively leads internal teams/strategies by training, developing, and managing performance aligned with business objectives and strategic plans. • Proactively collaborates with other departments (including Accounting, Information Technology, Client Services, and Human Relations teams) to reconcile compliance, risk, and legal issues. • Stays abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and issues.
