I started with Nortel Networks as a Field Technician, primarily installing DMS equipment in the central office environment. This quickly led me into an operational role as a lead tester on both initial and inservice offices. I was also placed into a mentoring role, working with my peers to bring them to a level of expertise that Nortel Networks expected from us. This also brought me to our Training Center on different assignments, where I could Instruct both fellow employees as well as customers in a more formal lab environment. After 12 years , I moved into a people-managing role as an Area Supervisor for the Bellsouth Account. Throughout my career with Nortel Networks I received numerous Top Talent and Pride awards for the accomplishments that I have achieved. I moved back into the Technical side in 2001 working as a team leader and commissioner/integrator on the new CS2K products that are now in place. In 2010 Nortel Wireline was purchased by Genband. I have been involved in the AT&T MCAP projects to replace 1A switches with Genbands G6/G5 solutions. I have also been lead tester for Genband on numerous C20 tandem Deployments doing acceptance testing with the customer on these products.
