Install, maintain and repair FIB, SEM, ESEM and Duelbeam FIB systems in failure analysis labs and wafer FAB. Managed a strategic customer site to ensure service contract requirements were met. Interfaced with customer on support issues. Directed local site engineers and coordinated activities for remote engineering support and other vendor support. Developed and documented preventive maintenance plan for FAB systems. This included tool matching procedures and maintenance activities for metrology systems and automated defect review systems. Supervised implementation of these procedures by service engineers and customer maintenance technicians. Responsible for service deliverables for new product releases. This included defining service design requirements, service documentation, spare parts and stock levels at locations world wide. Developed training programs for new products. Trained field service engineers on new and existing systems. Installed first beta systems in the field and worked with local engineers to ensure a successful transition to field service support. Resolved installation problems and identified design changes for improvements to the product. Supported escalations at sites through e-mail, phone calls and site visits to resolve problems that could not be solved by local service teams. Interfaced between R&D engineering and the field to bring the correct team together to solve difficult problems.

Maintenance of chemical mechanical planarization tools in a class 1 wafer FAB. This included installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration and software installation. Maintain system performance data, interfaced with customer and factory to evaluate and improve performance.

Developed design modifications for plant systems. Use of CAD systems to layout electrical drawings including elementary diagrams, control wiring diagrams, physical layout and equipment location drawings. Provided field support and problem resolution during installation of these modifications.

Reviewed completed mechanical packages for power piping, process piping HVAC and instrumentation systems. Performed detailed review of documentation, test data, and inspections to ensure all procedures and specification requirements were met and documented correctly.

Installation and maintenance of telephone service for residential and business systems. Troubleshooting, isolation and repair of customer wiring, equipment, telephone company cable, service wire and terminals.
