Safety Engineer working at the Pine Bluff Arsenal Directorate of Risk Management. This work was specifically noted as best-practices during 2012 DA Quality Workplace Evaluation, 2012 OHSAS 18001 Certification Audit, and 2013 JMC headquarters inspection. Assigned by the Commander as PBA Installation Radiation Safety Officer.Conduct and chair Hazard Analysis Working Groups (HAWGS) for Chemical-Biological operations. Team member for special projects in ammunition production and storage. Team lead for turnover and reuse inspections for previous chemical munition facilities and storage igloos. Meet regularly with ammo operations and other supervisors to discuss and advice on workplace injuries and mitigation of underlying hazards.Work closely with Industrial Hygiene office, case nurse, Worker’s Compensation Office and Chief Medical Officer on occupational health issues and direct mitigation of hazards that cause injury and illness to PBA employees. Responsible for trending of injury data and subsequent reported to higher headquarters. Provide hazard communication training for Ammo and Chem. Bio employees. Aid Environmental Division in chemical hazard identification for hazardous waste compliance. Technical lead for improvement and rewrite of local regulation for PBA Safety Division.

Pine Bluff Arsenal - U.S. Army Non-Stockpile Chemical Materiel Project (Nscmp)

Certified Industrial Hygienist for all Non-Stockpile operations at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Performed health and safety oversight for five NSCMP facilities engaged in the destruction of chemical weapons.

Responsible for all technical aspects of a general industrial hygiene and environmental company. Designed, estimated, budgeted and performed oversight on projects. Acted as technical director and project manager for company HAZMAT team that provided support to various city, county and state agencies and FEMA. Managed asbestos inspection and drafted health & safety plans. Oversaw and/or performed many assessments for noise, air quality, asbestos and hazardous materials. Performed mold and asbestos inspections. Designed and reviewed respiratory programs and air monitoring plans. Oversaw underground storage tank compliance. Performed risk assessments for environmental and human health. Assisted clients directly in matters of regulatory compliance and litigation. Provided project designs and management for hazardous materials operations, air quality monitoring, personal air monitoring, mold inspections, mold remediation and other industrial hygiene projects.
