Past positions: Senior Electrical Engineer, Chief Electrical Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer, Lead E&I Engineer, Project Engineer: responsibilities included:- Field Engineering supporting construction, startup and commissioning. Fast track projects and emergency rebuilds along with budget constrained priorities.- Supervise E & I group consisting of engineers and designers, coordinate with managers, procurement, clients and construction.- All E & I calculations either performed by myself or I check and approve calculation by others. Calculations include short circuit analysis, load flow analysis including motor starting and voltage drop, protective device coordination, lighting and grounding. - Computer modeling of electrical systems using PTW, ETAP and Easypower software.- Establish design guidelines and specifications for code and standard compliance including: NFPA, NEC, IEC, NESC, OSHA, DOT, API, ISA and client’s standards.- Oversee, check and approve electrical & instrument detail design drawings and P&ID’s.- Create, review and approve hazardous area classification details and plans.- Preliminary engineering design including development of scope of work.- Create specification and data sheets for equipment, technical evaluation of bids, review and approve vendor drawings of the following:• Prefabricated Power Control Rooms and Data Acquisition Centers• LV Motor Control Centers, Switchgear and Distribution Equipment• MV Motor Control Centers and Switchgear• HV Substation and Distribution Equipment• DC Power Systems and Uninterruptible Power Supplies• Heat Trace Control Systems• Station and Unit Control Panels and Remote I/O• Flow, Pressure, Level and Temperature Transmitters, Switches and Gauges
