Dallas And Houston Facilities

Brought on to lead the Manufacturing division of Dynamic Glass, LLC. , an Architectural / Unitized Curtainwall products company located in Houston expand to the DFW market. Responsibilities included plant layout and set up of the new 50,000 sqf Manufacturing Facility in the DFW area. Duties included Development of Safety Operations/Culture, Capital procurement and Continuous Improvement/Lean initiatives. Ongoing project at the Dynamic Glass Houston facility to include Unitized fabrication shop reorganization/layout project, Capital procurement and Continuous Improvement / Lean initiatives.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Conduct Intertek/WHI, ATI/AC472, ICC-ES and NRCA inspections for listed building product clients to ensure manufacturers compliance of manufacturing standards, production testing, calibration standards and certification documentation to set specifications.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

(Acralight International Skylights was acquired by Bristolite Daylighting Systems 7/2013) Managed all operational functions of the business, including, Manufacturing, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Human Resources, Engineering coordination, Purchasing, Inventory, Scheduling, Logistics, Maintenance and IT. Led the mid size company purchase transition, inclusive of Leadership, Office and Manufacturing operations. •Utilizing contract labor and direct hire, placed and trained 25+ employees in less than 10 days making the plant operational in 2 weeks and profitable in less than 30 days, all while sustaining a strong commitment to Safety, Lean Principals and Standardization.•Zero harm and Zero OSHA Recordable Injuries under my charge.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

• Responsible for establishing a start up Architectural Products Manufacturing Operation in Terrell, TX. • Worked directly with city officials, contractors, vendors, employment agencies, and numerous others to have the 40k square foot facility operational within 30 days.• Managed all operational functions of the 30+ employee business, including, Manufacturing, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Human Resources. Purchasing, Inventory, Engineering, Customer Service, Scheduling, Logistics and IT.• Led the Terrell operation from zero to operational in less than 45 days. • Maintained “zero harm” safety performance from onset through purchase.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

• Responsible for managing all manufacturing fabrication operations for over 350 plant employees and 7 Industrial Engineer/Manufacturing/Maintenance Managers. • Overall responsibility for fourteen operating budgets shipping over $200M in custom engineered and standard aluminum extruded architectural product annually. • Instrumental in implementing the company Lean Manufacturing journey in 1999 and served as the driver for all Continuous Improvement /Lean Manufacturing activity; providing training, documentation, capital procurement and guidance for several lean events annually. Demonstrated a minimum of 10% year over year productivity improvement in all areas of responsibility.• Fostered an environment that rewards proactive leadership as a tool to reduce turnover, improve morale, and drive plant results. • Developed a culture of accountability and participation among plant personnel driving a reduction in the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate by 50% in 2010 reaching a goal of 2 million hours worked without a Lost Time Injury. • Implemented programs that encouraged and expected employee involvement in personal, peer and plant safety. • Managed the Central Division Automation Team, a multifunctional team responsible for research, capital justification, procurement and execution of all CNC/ automation projects.

Environmental Technician• Coordinated with base environmental labs and satellite accumulation managers to ensure proper classification and disposal of hazardous materials generated at the bases.Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge/ Base Emergency Engineering Force • Coordinated deployment efforts and provided training for over 100 Civil Engineering team members located at six military installations throughout the San Antonio area. Key duties included disaster relief efforts carried out worldwide and disaster response training. Structural Technician• Responsible for Emergency Response and new construction of concrete structures and runways on various military installations throughout the Pacific.
