Gander Way is a family owned business that my mother and father, sister, brother-in-law and I started with our own blood, sweat and tears. We took 20 acres of pasture land, tilled it, removed thousands of pounds of rocks, set over 1600 posts, 19.1 miles of wire, 50,000 feet of irrigation and planted 2200 vines our first year. A few years later we broke ground on our winery and had an Amish construction crew build our building while we finished out the insides, creating a custom bar, and everything in between. In November of 2011 our winery opened for business with 6 varieties of wine, offer a great place to get away, enjoy some vino, have an event and enjoy life.

Spending almost 5 years in a very disorganized situation can cause you to not see clearly, and, in fact, lose part of yourself in the mix. This was my reality with working for NewCloud Networks. What kept me there were the other employees, their personalities, their dedication and hard work. What caused me to lose sight of the bigger picture was the constant reactive nature, consistently being overworked, disorganization and lack of structure, not to mention an owner with a very different perspective than what I had ever experienced. The people know what to do and where all needs to go, but there are constant road blocks and detours that keep the ultimate prize from being attainable. If you would like more details on working for this company, please do not hesitate in asking, I will always be honest and forth coming in regards to my experiences. I am thankful for the relationships I built internally and with some clients, as well as all of the different types of technologies I was exposed to during my time there. Biggest lesson learned was that being an owner or in a position of leadership makes one an owner or a person with a title, not necessarily a leader.
