Supported Delphi Corp. Passenger Occupant Detection (POD's) Build's and tested prototype POD's bladders. Set up and operated various machines and test equipment, including a FARO arm CMM. Using Unigraphics I designed and built all POD's fixtures and tools for testing our product. I provided ideas at weekly meetings regarding possible design changes and improvements.Designed the first functional weight drop machine (WDM) here at Delphi in 2003 (still in use today).Invented and built a laser locating system to insure proper set up of all WDM's of varying designs for both Delphi and their suppliersImproved the design of the 5th percentile b-form to represent a more accurate tool Tore down and relocated the POD's lab from Brighton to Auburn Hills.Set up prototype WDM's and trained operators in China, Canada, Mexico and USA.

I supported Delphi Corp. Instrument Cluster manufacturing in Flint. Primarily worked on Harley Davidson clusters - they were a new customer at that time. Added many new components to the Mentor Graphics library system Learned Mentor Graphics and was proficient with it in one year

I supported Delphi Corp. Instrument Cluster manufacturing in Flint, Mexico and China. Designed special machines and fixtures using Unigraphics CAD system and trouble shot all manufacturing processes related to the instrument cluster build including robotic pointer staking, flat lens router equipment, circuit board soldering and light bulb insertion.Designed the first functional flat lens router for DelphiDeveloped, designed and supervised the installation of new instrument cluster assembly equipment across the United States, Mexico and China. I provided machine and tool designs for Delphi, Ford, and Buick City. While working for AVC I was quickly promoted to "Contact man" where I was an important customer contact getting work coordinating work load for my team.

Morris Tool, Flint MiStarted a tool maker apprenticeship in 1982 and used several different industrial types of equipment. My favorite was a 14" South bend Lathe but there was also hydraulic tapping machines, screw machines, a small punch press and both horizontal and vertical mills.

Worked in a full-service gas station and auto and tire repair facility I provided quality customer service, employee relations and scheduling; managed inventory; ordered supplies; prepared bank deposits and worked closely with the owner to insure profitability.
