I help consumers especially those with an English language perspective, appreciate and understand the beauty of Sake and Japanese craft beverages. I have worked as well with a wide range of fine wines, typically Old World and California wines, in a retail, wine club and wine bar settings. I also possess a background in Finance and Information Technology, specifically in the Legal sector. More recently specialty, luxury Hospitality related experience, with a special focus and keen interest in Japanese cuisine and sake, Japan's most treasured and traditional craft beverage. In my prior work history, I have handled a variety of IT and Finance roles at companies and major law firms (Google, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Heller Ehrman LLP), in Client Services and quickly demonstrating an aptitude for financial systems IT administration and project management. I managed systems integration and upgrade projects and development of Aderant Expert and other key financial software, including omni-currency and tax integration projects, and trained finance users in best usage practices. I utilized MS Office and SQL Server and related tools, and supervised two full-time employees while at Orrick. At Heller I assisted with a London office implementation with respect to foreign currency, tax, and billing and collections issues. At Google I helped implement a web-based legal billing workflow and audit solution, including RFP, business requirements, evaluation and implementation.I am also an avid cook, oenephile, and expert in Japanese Saké, attending John Gauntner’s Professional Sake Course in 2007 and 2008 and becoming certified Advanced Sake Professional (Sake Education Council).
