I was promoted to lead a team of 12 in the operation of Units 3 and 4 at Plant Vogtle. I direct all operations safely including reviewal and approval of maintenance, incident response, technical issues, tagging, and fire brigade. We managed multiple startup tests during the build and test phases of the 2 units by planning and coordinating across multiple workgroups with tests going off on time and with 0 issues. I also piloted multiple programs and processes throughout the facility’s startup including establishing new clearance and tagging processes.

After completing my Operator in Training designation, I was promoted and completed my initial license class for my SRO license. I led our operations department procedures and supported shift operations as 1 of 5 shift leads. I wrote system exams and served as a subject matter expert to license classes and SOITs. I’m very proud to have been part of the 1st group of licensed AP 1000 operators in the United States having worked through multiple design changes and training programs. I led the major revisions of 15,000 operations procedures for plant baseline design change and delivered completed project 3 weeks ahead of schedule, leading to “Southern Excellence” recognition from executive teams.

I joined Southern Nuclear at Units 3 and 4 at Plant Vogtle and in this role I completed my initial license certification classes for AP1000 operation. I operated the plant control board and other equipment in the facility.

Seabrook, Nh

I joined NextEra at Seabrook where I attended the initial license class and served as a dedicated OJT/TPE performer for the shift. I performed rounds, surveillance, fire brigade duties, and all required tagging evolutions to ensure equipment maintenance and operation.

Uss Abraham Lincoln

During my time in the Navy, I was stationed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln where I completed training and qualified as an Engineering Lab Technician and qualified as a Chief Machinery Operator. I was responsible for analyzing samples, performing Radiation Surveys, and performing maintenance on equipment.
