One of only a few individuals to play a key role for a ground-breaking, healthcare innovation - a new carbon fiber prosthetic foot which was used across the United States including a victim of the Boston Marathon, children, diabetics, individuals with birth defects, veterans, and athletes. Responsible for both supply chain and contract administration for the high technology business. Responsibilities included USVA contract Statement of Work task management, managing research milestones, contract risk assessment, MS Excel quality control charts, key vendor relationships, identifying, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services from key vendors, Internet research/data mining information on competitive products and advanced materials/testing services for new and existing contracts. For example, my searches included an extensive vendor search to find hydrogels for potential prosthetic limb applications and materials testing equipment to evaluate these hydrogels. Served as a contract report author/technical writer as needed.
