Designer: • Designed office interior for the governor of Illinois• Met with clients to learn what their needs were and how to implement them • Drew floor plans and elevations of employer’s vacation home• Designed furniture and finish plans, along with detailed architectural drawings for retirement home renovationEstimator: • Determined which projects out for public bid would return the most profit for the company• Reviewed architectural drawings to identify any discrepancies • Composed RFI letters• For existing building bids, attended pre-bid walk-through to survey existing conditions • Prepared estimates based on discoveries at the walk-through, and answers to the RFI’s• Created spreadsheets to calculate budgets and evaluate cost-to-profit ratio• Submitted proposals and negotiated terms with General Contractors Project Manager: • Once bids were awarded, developed project schedules to insure we met the General Contactor’s completion date and coordinated man power• Conducted secondary reviews of drawings to note findings and to make take-offs easier and more thorough• Conducted detailed quantity take-offs, using eTakeoff and/or paper plans, for each flooring component and all costs related to providing the work as specified • Requested and negotiated vendor quotes to ensure they comply with specifications while staying within defined budgets• Create proposal that communicates what our Scope of Work includes to minimize questions• Ensure that all materials are delivered before the requested work start date• Meet with installers to make sure they know what our Scope includes• Submit Change Order requests if a condition arises that causes inefficiency, or if work outside our Scope becomes necessary • Trained and managed two full-time estimators

• Used AutoCad to draw and design plans for several office spaces and a single family home• Installed rebar and concrete for the foundation of a large barn• Visited jobsites to ensure schedule and Scope of Work adherence • Prepared a concrete floor for staining

• Estimated the cost of providing cast-stone for construction projects• Drew detailed shop-drawings, using AutoCAD, for the fabrication of cast-stone• Compiled take-offs by reading blue-prints• Visited jobsites to measure for the cast stone • Provided alternate designs if part of the client’s design was not possible

• Used AutoCAD to draw floor plans and elevations• Helped determine the footprint location of a 6000 SF house to accentuate the landscape• Designed the floorplan and exterior facade for a residential renovation• Improved catalog drawings by shading and accentuating architectural features of the home designs
