Protected Verizon by completing vulnerability assessments and communicating with (OS) vendors, security teams, compliance teams, support engineers and developers. Designed automated solutions to save time and money while delivering more consistent results.Developed security remediation procedures and provided documentation and training to hundreds of support engineers and application developers.Eliminated over 97% of Critical and High-risk vulnerabilities across all Unix servers in less than 18 months.

Worked with vendors and system engineers to keep all Solaris servers updated and consistent with both security and functional patches. The company needed to reduce FTE hours and improve consistency resulting in two very large and complex projects. Reduced FTE hours from 8 hours per server to less than 20 minutes per server to patch and update.Saved over $2M for the design of an automated patch solution for 6000+ servers and received US Patent.

Architect and engineer for the first on-prem hybrid Solaris Cloud within Verizon. Designed and tested the proof-of-concept virtualization strategy to reduce data center costs by 80-90%Designed and tested new corporate OS and hardware standards.
