Jamba Juice is a quick-service restaurant and juice bar chain that sells blended fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, and other food products. Investors and I started with a single unit and grew to 5 locations within the greater Phoenix market. I lead the development and operations of each location from site selection, design, and construction to grand opening marketing and continued operations. We exited the franchise system in 2006 when we sold to a large investment group. - Brand recognition was limited within the market. Viewed this as an opportunity to have an aggressive marketing plan involving local schools, businesses, and the community. Created street teams that would give out samples and network with the neighborhoods. This resulted in top-performing units in the portfolio growing by 32% year over year. - Created an off-site sales and catering program to drive further sales, brand awareness, and to give back to the community through donations. This program brought in on average an additional $90K in revenue at each location per year.
