Tokini Peterside-Schwebig is a cultural entrepreneur contributing to the redefinition of the Africa narrative.Tokini is the Founder of ART X, the corporate entity behind: ART X Lagos - the leading international art fair in West Africa and a cornerstone of the African art industry; ART X Live! - a dynamic accelerator for rising musicians and artists; and the ART X Prize - an annual award for emerging artists across Africa and its Diaspora.As a strategic advisor, Tokini supports pioneering entrepreneurs and businesses cutting across culture, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment, building on her extensive prior experience with brands in the luxury and culture industry, such as the LVMH Group and ALARA. An ardent art collector and patron, Tokini currently serves on the board of Yinka Shonibare’s GAS Foundation, as well as organisations including Wigwe University and Anap Jets. Tokini was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2023, and listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Africans in 2022. She holds a law degree with first class honours from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and an MBA from INSEAD. She currently lives between Lagos and Paris.
