Heinz Fellowship selected ten recent college graduated African American males based on their records of exceptional achievements in their academic and professional careers and in their communities. We were placed in high-needs high schools in the Pittsburgh school district to serve as mentors, tutors and role models. Mentoring/Case Management: Constructed and adapted a curriculum for 10th -12th graders in three small groups of 20 that focused on life skills (networking and brand building), building social competencies, and college readiness (improving study and time management skills). Tutoring: Oversaw tutoring sessions for mentees and connected them with their teachers for additional resources. Event Management: Hosted a networking luncheons designed to showcase the professional skills taught to mentees with real professionals.We Promise Lead Mentor and Facilitator  Awards: 2015 African American Challenge Bowl Winner
